With profound expertise in design and creative direction, Yulia Tlili has built a distinguished career spanning womenswear, accessories, and design education. As Head of Design at FREY, she leads the brand’s creative vision—developing concepts and worlds that tell stories, forging an emotional connection between design and the consumer, and expanding the boundaries of what is possible. Her work merges narrative, innovation, and craftsmanship to create meaningful, lasting impact.
Yulia has worked with prestigious fashion houses including Gareth Pugh and Roksanda. Her work has been published in Fast Forward Fashion (Farameh Media, NYC), featured at London Fashion Week, and appeared in Vogue Italia, Vogue Nippon, and MUSE Magazine, as well as showcased at the VTS International Fashion Festival in Belgium. Worked on collaborations include projects with Nick Knight and Ruth Hogben for SHOWstudio, along with work for V-Grass China, Helmut Lang, and other global brands.
Beyond ready-to-wear, Yulia has realised bespoke couture and commissioned art projects for private clients, V&A museum, and exhibitions, including pieces for Lady Gaga, Daphne Guinness, Katie Shillingford and the V&A Museum. Her special projects include custom red carpet looks, editorial commissions, and conceptual installations.
An experienced educator, Yulia has taught at SCAD and Raffles HK, where she mentors the next generation of designers. She holds a Master of Arts in Fashion Design from the Royal College of Art and Bachelor (Hons) in Fashion Design from Middlesex University.
