One Verandah

The architects were commissioned to design a completely raw penthouse apartment located on the northwest side, overlooking the city center. The challenge was how to create an impressive living space that could seamlessly incorporate the language of natural architecture into the interior design. From this idea emerged a handcrafted “black stone” wall stretching through the double-height void, evoking the image of a majestic cliff — overwhelming, dramatic, and deeply striking. Another distinctive feature is the “metallic epoxy” flooring, poured on-site by the architects together with specialized craftsmen. Originally a pure white epoxy surface, layers of black and silver metallic pigments were later added to create a marble-like effect, shaped intuitively through the architects’ artistic sensibilities, resulting in a fluid and uniquely expressive visual movement.
