WOVEN SCREEN OFFICE

The Woven Screen Office in Hanoi, Vietnam is to achieve a good communication by an “open yet enclosed, public yet private” space. A curvy plan and porous concrete screen with weaving shape create a social distance of member. To find out a good social distance, perforated blocks in Vietnamese cityscape is referred to reconstruct the office scenery. These blocks are widely used for coordinating distance of neighbors while controlling environment. The designed porous concrete wall, we named “Woven Screen”, was produced by precast concrete unit. The daily work will be celebrated by the playing day and night light condition.
