TOHOKU Hải Phòng is nestled in the heart of the port city, where architecture, materials, and lighting harmonize to create a complete dining experience—one that goes beyond cuisine to embody the spirit of Omotenashi in every detail. The project embraces the design philosophy of wood – purity – tranquility, using natural Japanese elements such as timber, raw stone, shoji paper, tatami, and the delicate, refined lines characteristic of traditional Japanese architecture. Every wall surface, contour, and lighting corner is intentionally crafted to add visual depth and evoke a sense of calm the moment guests step inside. The lobby area resembles a miniature Japanese garden, featuring pebbles and warm lighting that set a slow, graceful rhythm. The wooden reception counter enhances a sense of purity and closeness, reflecting TOHOKU’s meticulous and wholehearted approach to hospitality. The main dining space follows an open layout, illuminated with soft amber-toned lights that create a warm and gentle atmosphere. Natural wood tones are carefully coordinated to maintain balance and elegance throughout. The wooden finishes are treated smoothly without excessive gloss, preserving the authenticity and natural feel that are vital in Japanese dining environments. The VIP rooms feature solid wood tables and minimalist calligraphy or sumi-e artworks. With excellent acoustic treatment, these rooms are ideal for business dining, family gatherings, or private meetings requiring discretion and comfort. The sushi bar stands as a distinctive highlight, where chefs interact directly with diners. The stone and wood counter is crafted in precise Japanese proportions—refined, balanced, and inviting—allowing guests to observe each preparation step in a setting that feels intimate yet refined. Overall, TOHOKU Hải Phòng is an architectural project that values discipline, purity, and precision, while still retaining the warmth and sincerity of Japanese culture. It is a space not only beautiful to behold but also deep enough to leave lasting emotions—true to the essence of “Japanese cuisine elevated to a memorable experience.”
