NONBIRI House

"NONBIRI House" represents Sobokuya's cross-cultural architectural endeavor, bringing traditional Japanese timber construction to the tropical climate of Vietnam. The project was a collaborative effort between Sobokuya's Japanese and Vietnamese teams, emphasizing knowledge exchange and cultural integration. The design adapts to the local environment by incorporating open spaces and natural ventilation, ensuring comfort in a humid climate. The use of wooden structures and joinery techniques not only provides durability but also introduces a new architectural language to the region, blending Japanese aesthetics with Vietnamese living traditions.
